Also known as the ‘Architects of Transport’, FIATA has Association Members and Individual Members in some 150 countries. FIATA has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (inter alia ECE, ESCAP, ESCWA), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and the UN Commission on International Trade Law. FIATA is recognised as representing the freight forwarding industry by many other governmental organisations, governmental authorities, and private international organisations in the field of transport.

During the last two sessions of the day, we explored two key topics shaping the future of global logistics: 🚛 Optimising Key Multimodal Transport Corridors – In breakout discussions by FIATA regions, participants examined how international organisations can support the development of more efficient, sustainable, and resilient transport corridors. The session highlighted the importance of investment in transport infrastructure, digital connectivity, and trade facilitation to strengthen global supply chains. 🤝 Leveraging Regional Free Trade Agreements – Through interactive discussions, freight forwarders and experts explored how regional agreements can facilitate the timely release and clearance of goods, enhance digitalisation efforts, and support the integration of single window systems. These agreements play a crucial role in creating a smoother, more predictable trading environment. 💡 But the conversation doesn’t stop here!
