Dear FIATA member,
We are very much looking forward to the upcoming FIATA HQ Meeting! Here we would like to remind you of a few things ahead of the event taking place from Saturday 18 March to Tuesday 21 March.
Play an active role in shaping industry solutions and leverage FIATA’s global network in hands-on workshops organised by FIATA Institutes and Advisory Bodies. Among other aspects, you will:
- Unlock the potential of digital transformation in the transport documentation process and particularly how the multimodal digital FBL can revolutionise this;
- Get involved with the discussion on industry decarbonisation, with focus on e-fuels, and with the participation of energy traders;
- Catch-up with the latest cybersecurity and special transport safety processes, with key emphasis on Unit Load Devices;
- Find concrete solutions to critical choke points in trade facilitation measures for seamless global trade flow;
- Discover the importance of standardisation and harmonisation of Advanced Cargo Information globally, as well as the benefits of data set standardisation in facilitating electronic data exchange;
- Gain the latest insights on new corridor shifts to optimise business operations and stay ahead of competition;
- Explore how FIATA is leading the field in the optimisation of AEO programmes for all freight forwarders; and
- Address global driver shortage challenges to facilitate more efficient multimodal transport solutions.

What is happening on Friday 17 March?

Chamonix Tour
08:00-17:30 CET
For Friday 17 March, FIATA HQ has organised a full-day trip to Chamonix, France, departing from the Royal Hotel Geneva, to discover the wonders of the mountainous French Alps at the price of CHF 249 per person.
Participants to the HQ Meeting are invited to register to this day via the official FIATA HQ Meeting registration platform, should they wish to do so, as it will take place the day before the official opening of the event.

Welcome Cocktail

The Welcome Cocktail will take place at the IceBergues venue, located on rue Kléberg 12 in Geneva. A registration desk will also be available for participants to pick up their welcome package.

Registration & Exhibition Opening
09:00-10:00 CET
At 09:00 CET, the International Conference Center Geneva (CICG), the venue of the FIATA HQ Meeting, will open its doors for the inauguration of the 2023 FIATA HQ Meeting exhibition, in the presence of the esteemed FIATA President, Ivan Petrov.
This will be a unique opportunity to network with old and new acquaintances and familiarise yourself with the surroundings. In addition, participants are invited to collect their welcome package at the dedicated registration desk.

Opening Session
10:00-11:15 CET
FIATA President Ivan Petrov will launch the FIATA HQ Meeting 2023 with an opening address, in which he will present the programme and expected outcomes.
Jan Hoffmann, Head of Trade Logistics at UNCTAD, will provide a keynote speech, presenting an outlook on trade and logistics.

Lunch & Learn: Know your FIATA

How can FIATA bring value to your own Association or Individual membership services? How can you better leverage FIATA’s training capabilities? The visa application process to attend the FIATA HQ Meeting is sometimes challenging, how can you maximise your chances of succeeding in a visa application? These are just some of the questions that will be answered in this special Lunch and Learn session.
