The FIATA World Congress bids for 2027 are NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN!
FIATA calls all Association Members to consider their prospects of hosting the 64th edition of the FIATA World Congress! The event will mark FIATA's 101st year as a Federation, and will be an opportunity to position your region as a leading location in the world for logistics, using the FIATA World Congress to bring best practices and expertise to the region. It will also be an exceptional chance to stimulate collaboration with your authorities, and to provide networking opportunities with the global stakeholder community.
Don't miss out on this chance to host the biggest and most prestigious event in the freight and logistics industry, and submit your letter of intent, which should mark your Association's interest in hosting the event before the deadline of Friday 9 February 2024! Letters of intent should be addressed to events@fiata.org. It is time to showcase the logistics industry in your city, country and your organisational prowess to a global audience!
FIATA welcomes and looks forward to receiving your letters. Upon receipt of your letters of intent, FIATA will revert with further details to help you prepare your bid.
Bid Procedure
By Friday 9 February 2024, your Association must mark its initial interest in hosting the event in an official letter to FIATA, and will be informed afterwards of its elligibility for the next stage of the bid process.
Eligible Associations must submit a preliminary event proposal electronically by Friday 22 March 2024. The event proposal shall be prepared based on the FIATA World Congress Protocol, which will be provided by FIATA upon confirmation of eligibility.
Associations considered for the final stage of evaluation will announced will be announced at the FIATA HQ Meeting between 23-26 April 2024 based on the following criteria:
- Relevance of the proposed Congress venue for business opportunities relevant to transport and logistics
- Economic trends in the country and region
- Hosting history of the bidding Association
- International travel and connectivity of the Congress Venue
- Visa requirements and arrangements for participants
- Safety and security track record of the venue
- Availability of sponsorship opportunities and incentives
- Support from relevant authorities
- Experience and track record of the Professional Congress Organiser shortlisted to support the event
- Ease of commute between the Congress venue, hotels and other event locations
Following the HQ Meeting, feedback will be provided on the bids and additional information may be sought as needed. The selection of the Host Association from amongst the finalists will be based on an in-depth evaluation of the bids and an official presentation by the finalist Associations during the FIATA World Congress 2024 in Panama.
The decision shall be confirmed by the FIATA General Meeting in June 2025.
